Gravity Celebrates 10 Years with Dubai’s First Parkour & Calisthenics Party
Dubai, UAE – May, 2025 – A decade ago, Gravity Calisthenics Gym opened its doors with a simple but radical idea: to redefine how the UAE moves. On May 11, the trailblazing fitness community invites Dubai to celebrate that journey with a first-of-its-kind experience: Dubai’s first Parkour & Calisthenics Party, blending movement, music, art, and homegrown talent in a three-hour open-format jam. Founded in 2015 by Yousuf Al Gurg, Gravity was the first gym in the region to fully champion calisthenics, parkour, and bodyweight training as core disciplines. What began as a modest training space has evolved into one of the region’s most respected and community-driven fitness institutions, doubling in size in 2019 and acquiring a 33% stake in the World Calisthenics Organization.
Under the leadership of Yousuf Al Gurg and co-owner Saleh Al Braik, Gravity has evolved to become a place where people of all ages, fitness levels, and backgrounds are encouraged to move freely, challenge themselves, and grow through functional disciplines like Hyrox, Tumbling, Flexibility, and Inversions. Gravity’s brand of fitness is not about aesthetics or competition, but about freedom, progression, and self-expression. “The name Gravity represents that universal force we’re all working against when we move. But instead of fighting it, we lean into it, to challenge ourselves, evolve, and support each other,” says founder Yousuf Al Gurg. “This anniversary is about honouring the last decade and at the same time celebrating where we’re going and inviting others to move with us.”

What to Expect on May 11 To mark the 10-year milestone, Gravity is hosting a community celebration like no other, Dubai’s first Parkour & Calisthenics Party, a cultural moment where the city’s movement scene comes together under one roof – part workout, part street jam.
The celebration features some of the most exciting Emirati and homegrown names in the circuit, a nod to the founders’ roots. The afternoon kicks off with Groove with Gravity, a high-energy, all-levels movement session powered by the music of Lobito Brigante (@lobitobrigante), a multi-award-winning turntablist and international touring DJ who will be spinning Afro-Latin beats, Brazilian breaks, bass and vintage hip hop throughout the event. Acclaimed soul musician Abri (@abri.music) brings the rhythm with a live set, while Project Chaiwala (@projectchaiwala), co-founded by entrepreneur Ahmed Kazim, serves up their signature street-style bites and craft chai. The experience rounds out with a mini-Battle of the Bars, a throwback to Gravity’s early days and its legacy in the street workout scene.
10 Days. 10 Surprises. To ramp up the energy, Gravity is also dropping 10 surprise offers starting May 2, each live for just 24 hours. The final offer will drop on the day of the party, May 11. No previews, no leaks – just pure FOMO. Looking Ahead Gravity is also using this milestone to announce its international franchise program, inviting new partners to bring the Gravity ethos – born from Dubai’s diverse and passionate fitness community to cities across the globe.
