Dubai Festival City Mall and Festival Plaza marks the Year of Family with family-focused Ramadan experiences

Dubai, UAE, 13 February 2026 – Marking the Year of Family, and delivered as part of the Season of Wulfa, Dubai Festival City Mall and Festival Plaza will host a series of family-focused Ramadan experiences designed to bring communities together through culture and shared moments throughout the holy month.

Dubai Festival City Mall – Festival Bay

Set along the Dubai Creek waterfront, Festival Bay will offer a family-focused Ramadan environment featuring dining, cultural entertainment, and seasonal experiences running throughout the evening and into the night from 18 February to 23 March 2026.

The experience comes to life through a curated mix of Ramadan activations across Festival Bay, including:

1. Ramadan Majlis at Festival Bay: At the heart of the programme is the Ramadan Market at Festival Bay, an open-air, majlis-style setting along the Creek. Designed for families and group gatherings, the market will be open from 5:00pm till 1:00am featuring traditional Ramadan dishes and desserts alongside dedicated seating areas for relaxed social moments throughout the evening.
2. IMAGINE show: Complementing the market, the IMAGINE Show – Ramadan Edition brings Festival Bay to life each evening with hourly Ramadan-themed projection mapping from 7:00pm. The show combines water features, lighting, music, and immersive visuals and runs throughout the Ramadan activation period.
3. Live Ramadan entertainment: Festival Bay will host a rotating programme of live Ramadan entertainment, adding a cultural and social layer to the waterfront experience. This includes performances across the destination, alongside activities at Ramadan Majlis, which operates daily from 8:00pm to 12:00am and features food offerings, live entertainment, and carnival-style games The live programme includes:
   1. Ramadan Lantern Parade
   2. Arabic percussion performances (Daf & Riq)
   3. Qanun and violin sets
   4. Oud and harp performances
   5. Suhoor shows
   6. On-stage Ramadan Fawazeer
   7. Live Arabic calligraphy
4. Festival touch: The mall will delight visitors with complimentary giveaways on weekdays throughout Ramadan, creating moments of surprise and celebration each evening. Taking place from 8:00pm to 10:00pm, the giveaways will include a selection of Ramadan-inspired treats such as dates, chocolates, and other seasonal offerings.
5. Daily drone shows and canon: Blending tradition with contemporary entertainment, Dubai Festival City Mall will present two drone shows at Festival Bay at 7:30PM and 10:30PM, alongside the firing of a traditional Ramadan cannon each evening to mark Iftar.

Festival Plaza

Festival Plaza will host a family-focused Ramadan activation designed to create an engaging and welcoming experience for visitors throughout the Holy Month.

The activation will run for three weeks from 1 March to 23 March 2026, operating daily from 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM, and will feature a curated programme of interactive and hospitality-led experiences, including:

1. Kids workshops: A dedicated programme of creative, hands-on workshops designed to engage children throughout the Ramadan period. Activities include pottery painting, burqaa making, tote bag painting, embroidery on khoos baskets, offering young visitors a culturally enriching experience.
2. Henna station: A traditional henna experience available to visitors, adding a cultural element to the Ramadan atmosphere.
3. Ramadan hospitality: As part of Festival Plaza’s Ramadan hospitality, Arabic coffee and dates will be served to visitors, reflecting the spirit of generosity and togetherness. Coffee servers will be present from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM, enhancing the evening experience.

Access to the activation will be managed through Kids Club registration, ensuring a smooth and family-friendly experience throughout the activation period.

Throughout Ramadan, Dubai Festival City Mall and Festival Plaza come alive with seasonal décor, themed installations, and illuminated elements across common areas, creating welcoming environments where culture, cuisine, and community come together in celebration of the Season of Wulfa.

Dubai Festival City Mall’s Ramadan programme runs until 23 March 2026, while Festival Plaza’s activation will take place from 1 to 23 March 2026.
